Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, Davy & baby

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all pretty well as it leaves us all at present. I am afraid that you had a frightful storm on a week last Saturday as I was talking to a commercial gentleman last week and he lives about five miles out of your town through Small Heath. He said that he never witnessed such a storm in his life. The house next door to him, the chimney was shattered, and I feel so glad that you did not experience so much or you would have said. Therefore after all we ought to be thankful to our heavenly father all his care and tender mercies towards us.

Just at these minutes there's a motor car from your town arrived. The gentleman is a brother of our mistress. Our preacher is Mr Davies. School no. 88. Hoping that you enjoy the peace of this Sabbath day. I conclude with our very best love to all.
