Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, little David & baby

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well. Also hoping that dear little Lona's ear is better. We should like to see you at Whitsuntide if you can possibly come. Dear Lizzie Ann pardon my cold invitation but you have Frances's letters. It's a very wet Sunday here, raining all day. We have a very good minister from Liverpool today. Hoping that you will be able to read and see some word afresh in what I have written.

Our School was very small owing to the day, and some ill. It was a very enjoyable day on Thursday, the Carnival at night was very good. So I have not much news more to tell you. We have two servant girls from your town in the Wynnstay. Their homes are in Aston.

So I must conclude with our very best love to you all.
