Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, little David & babby
We take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well and so glad to see in your postcard this morning that little David is better. We are all pretty well at present. It has made a very rough day here, wind and rain. Our school no. 78, very good considering the day. Hoping dear that you are able to gather some good on this day. I will be with thee is the promise, the water and the floods shall not overflow thee.
I have been unfortunate today again, could not go to morning service therefore I have not a word of sermon to send you. But I enjoyed myself in the class. The subject Peter, but I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not.
So I have not much more news to tell you now. May the blessing of God be with you all. Amen.
