Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, little David & baby
We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that they will find you all pretty well as we are all at present. Mamma is not going out tonight because it is very windy and cold. Frances is quite well. We hope that she will keep up to pass over next Thursday for f .[ing]. Our school no. 65. Mr Parry was preaching this morning with great delight to me. Hoping dear that you are able to derive some soul this day. May God shine upon you in his love and mercy.
So I have not much news to tell you more. With very best love to all.
