Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, Davy & baby

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well as Frances and myself are quite well and Mamma is much better, and we are very glad of that and we hope that she will not have such an attack not soon again. She had it severe this time but we feel thankful to almighty God for his great mercy once more.

We had a letter from Johnny this morning and he felt it very much, and well he may for she has been a fine Mother to him. So I am glad that he sees it now. Our School no. was 100 today, and our preacher is a student from the New College (Aberystwyth). The text was the 1st chapter in the Hebrews, 1st verse- 'Jesus as an high priest and prophet and King', and also 13th chapter, 8th verse - 'Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever', and he said that the meaning of the word prophet was revealer of God. So you see dear that I have not much to tell you of the sermon because he was rather quick speaking, but it was very good.

We are sorry to see that the good men in Suffolk Street have not learned to behave themselves. There cannot be much grace or good there. So we have not much news to tell you more now. May God bless you all with our very best love to all.
