Dear Lizzie Ann, Frances, David, JM, Lona and little David

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well as it leaves us pretty well. I am very well myself and Mamma is better. It has been very wet and rough here for many days. I daresay you have had it the same. Our preacher is a Rev. John Roberts (Wrexham), but I failed to get to Chapel this morning. I was in School. 85 in number but very enjoyable.

We have had a death card of little Harold Lewis. His parents sent it from Bridge End Street. In the teachers’ meeting today they were reading of the amount collected for the present to Mr Davies on his marriage. It will be nearly 15 pounds and they intend to have a Christian Endeavour soiree you know. I don’t know when. So I have not much more news to tell you this time. Lizzie Pughe is better. We shall send you a County Times. You will see about the wedding.

Tell the children to be very good. I am sorry that I have not a word of sermon. May the Lord bless you all be with you. Amen. So we conclude with our very best love to all.
