Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well. We are middling. Frances has had a very bad face, been in bed nearly 3 days. Got up this afternoon but looks rather ugly. Mamma is pretty well, I am very well. I saw Mrs Foulkes-Jones and she wishes to be remembered much to you. Excuse that you have not had a letter, it was because Frances was not able to write.

Our School no. 96. I enjoyed my class very much. Hoping dear Lizzie Ann that you are able to have some means this day, may God’s blessing be with you all. Amen. Tell the children to be very good. They must be very proud with their watches. So we have nothing more at present. You shall have a letter from Frances and Mother perhaps tomorrow. With our very best love to you all.
