Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona and baby

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well as we are pretty well. Neither Mamma or Frances are very bright today. I am the only Chapel going person today. Hoping that you are able to enjoy this Sabbath day in rest and holy meditation, holding fast in the horns of the altar and about the posts of his door. You know that these are Old Testament sayings.

When our School was getting opened today I thought much about you and all the faithfulness that you have shown in our Sunday School. We just had a line from Johnny. He is quite well. Tell J.M & Lona to be very good children and we hope to see them soon. Rather showery here today. School no. 96. I enjoyed my class of 8 young men. So no more at present. With our very best love to you all.
