Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona, Davy & baby

We take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well. Glad to say that Mamma is much better. Myself and Frances are very well. Our school was 117 so you see that we are pretty lively here just now, and prayer meetings every night. Mr Davies (Pastor) is with us today. I enclose you his sermon as best as I could take it.

The news came to town yesterday that Lord Henry had died and it is quite true, at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at Melton Mowbray. The funeral will take place at Machynlleth on Thursday. He died very sudden.

Tell the children to be very good, they are going to have some ……..[?]. So I have not much news more to tell you. May God's blessing and love be with you. Amen. With our very best love to you all.
