Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM, Lona & little David
We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all pretty well as we are at present. Mamma is going to Chapel tonight. Our Minister is with us today. I enclose you the morning sermon, a part of it, hoping that you may be able to read it and understand some of it. I am not so busy today. I have been to School and I intend to go tonight. Frances is quite well now. Hoping that you are able to keep up pretty well.
We know that your hands are pretty full with the three children. Tell John & Lona to be very good children and to go to school every day. There was a young man from very near to where you live here with a motor car for the show last Wednesday.
