Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona & little David

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well as it leaves us all pretty well at present. We ought to feel very thankful to God for his great goodness to us continually. I am not able to worship him much as I would wish to do just now. I was not able to go to Chapel this morning, neither to School. Hope to go tonight. The Hotel is very full now of visitors, but they will be soon gone. W.S. Jones is preaching today, his text this morning was St John 17th chapter, 17,18,19th verses - the intercessory prayer. Evan Jones next door said it was in Luke, so you see that he paid much attention, and I am afraid that the preaching of God's word to him and many more is in vain. I am very glad and very happy that I have struck upon a way where I have the greatest interest in all that is said. Sorry that I have not a word of sermon to send you.

There is a girl from London, servant of young Thomas (late Workhouse) and she sees Johnny very often and says that he looks very well. May heavens richest blessing be upon you. So I have not much news to tell you more. Tell JM & Lona to be very good children. Best love to David.

Our very best love to all from Father, Mother & Sister
