Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona

We take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are quite well & Lona. J.M is at our house this afternoon and he is very lively, quite at home with Nain and talking any quantity and full of fun. I saw David last night. He was very nice and he had been seeing for Mamma and had a little conversation, very friendly. Mamma is asking if you would allow JM to stop with us a little after David will come back. David is quite willing for him to stop if you will consent.

Dear Lizzie Ann it’s a very fine Sunday here. Our preacher is Professor Jenkin Jones of Aberystwyth college. The text was St Luke 22nd chapter, 27 & 28th verses – Jesus sitting amongst his disciples, as one that served he made some very appropriate remarks, words will be worth remembering. Sunday School 80. I was teaching a class of women. I enjoyed it very much. Frances was not able to go to Llanbrynmair on Christmas day but she went to Aberystwyth with several parties from Machynlleth and they were successful in all that they tried. It was an Eisteddfod. Hoping dear Lizzie Ann that you are able to enjoy this Sabbath day as it is the last in this year. We wish you a happy New Year when it comes.

Frances is much better now. We hope that she will continue well so that she will be able to go to Dolgelly for Christmas Eve [New Year’s Eve?]. So I have not much news this time. With our very best love to you both.
