Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona
We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well as we are all pretty well. Today it is very hot here. Mamma is not coming to Chapel tonight, the heat affects her a little bit, but we have a very good preacher today - Rev. R.J. Rees (Tabernacl) Aberystwyth, a very good one. This morning the text was 2nd chapter John, 25th verse - 'for he knew what was in man'. School no. 76, I enjoyed it very much. Hoping dear Lizzie Ann that you are able to enjoy yourself in serving God in some quiet way, and thus receiving some good to our never dying souls. May the blessing of God be with all. Amen.
Well I will tell you a little about our Singing Festival last Thursday. We all had the two meetings and I enjoyed myself very much. Our conductor, Mr Gittins, said that we were singing very well of course. There were singers from five other Churches with us. The Chapel was full. Also Maengwyn had their Festival the same day, so you see the Town was full of singers. Frances is going to Comminscoch tomorrow. There is an Eisteddfod there. Vaughan Owen is much better. I spoke to him today down in the kitchen. Hoping that 15 years may yet be given him to serve in the English Chapel. You know that Hezekiah prayed for Isaiah and the prayer was answered, but we must also say the will of the Lord will be done.
So I have not much more news to tell you this time. With our very best love to all. Hoping to see you soon.
From your dear Father and Mother and Sister.
