Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM and Lona

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you, hoping that they will find you all quite well, as we are all pretty well.

Mamma is getting ready to come to Chapel which is a very pleasing feature to me. Very good preacher today, the English Minister from Llandiloes, a Rev. J Evans. We are looking forward to a great day next Thursday, the English Singing Festival which is to be held in our Chapel, also the Welsh Festival is the same day in Maengwyn. So you see that there will be a lot of people in Town that day.

Our school no. was 87. It's very busy here today. Vaughan Owen is able to come down to the kitchen a little every day. The text was 96 Psalm, 9th verse - 'to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness'. We were sorry to hear about the little boy of Johnny Hemming - it must be a very great shock and deep sorrow to the parents. We hope they may be able to see him who gave and also can take away.

Not much news today. Hoping that you all have been able to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness as it was so beautifully described in our sermon this morning. May God give you all a humble waiting heart - the hungry he is sure to fill, but a very poor promise for the rich.

May the blessing of God be with all.

from dear Father, Mother, Sister and children

M & E Lewis
