Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM & Lona

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all in pretty good health as it leaves us all at present. It’s a very fine day here and we are having a very happy Sunday. Our preacher is a Mr Davies of Bettws – a good preacher. The text was 2nd chapter, 15th verse – our conscience also bearing witness in the middle of the verse. Our school numbered 77.

I called upon Mr Vaughan Owen today and he was very thankful for your kind sympathy with him. Poor man, he does not mend very fast but we hope he will be better soon. He bears up like a good Christian man. Poor Maggie is not much comfort to him. She suffers under some strange delusions. I have not much news to tell you this time. Hoping that you both, with the dear children, are able to spend this Sabbath day with some amount of comfort and joy.

May God be with you all. Amen.

From your dear Father, Mother & Sister
