Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM and Lona

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that they will find all quite well as we are all pretty well at present. It is very fine here today. It appears that Nain from Corris is very poorly at Mrs Hughes. I was speaking to John Hughes the other day and he said that she does not rise now. Our preacher today is R Owen (Welshpool), the text was St John, 1st chapter, 17 & 18 verses. We had a very good morning service. The school numbered 98.

Dear Lizzie Ann I have not much news this time to tell you, for the law was given by Moses but grace and truth come by Jesus Christ. Hoping that you are enjoying your Sunday like John in the ….. of Patinas in the spirit of the Lords day with your dear little family. Remember us all very kindly to David, and the photos of the dear children I am so glad to have them. May the love of God and fellowship of the Holy Ghost be with you all. Amen.

This is from your dear Father & Mother & Frances.
