To: Lizzie Ann and her husband David and children

From: Maurice Lewis (her father)

Dear Lizzie Ann, David, JM and Maglona

We now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that they will find you all quite well. We were very glad to received your postcard this morning and that you were all well as this leaves us at present. We have not much news this time. Remember us to John Maurice and tell him about Dada, Nain and Hai.

Dear Lizzie Ann our preacher today is Mr Parry - Newtown. The morning text was 1st chapter Genesis - 1st verse - 'in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth'. He said that God was the subject of the Bible. Our congregation are not very large now as there are many away on holidays. Sunday school rather small but we are having a very happy Sunday, hoping that you are also as well as you can trying to serve God in your humble way. May the Lord give you faith and strength to do his will. Mamma is coming to chapel tonight so you see we are getting better at our house.

Dear Lizzie Ann we have not much news to tell this time - you shall have a letter from home. Remember us all very kindly to David - our very best love to you all from father, mother, and Frances.
