Dear Lizzie Ann and David
I now take the pleasure of writing these few lines to you hoping that you are all quite well and baby, as it leaves us at present. I have not much news to tell you this time only that Johnny sent me a very nice sleeve waistcoat and I am now writing to thank him very much for it shows that he has not forgotten us.
Frances is getting on very well. She was singing in a concert in the Town Hall on Friday night. Very much praise. Our own Minister is with us today. His text was 23 Psalm: 'the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want'. Our thanksgiving services were held last Monday, we had two very good services. I have not much to say this time. Hoping that you enjoy religion as sweet as ever, continually trusting in the Lord. May God bless you all for Christ's sake.
So no more at present from your dear Father & Mother & Frances with very best love.
Hoping that you see some Machynlleth people now and again in Birmingham.
