Llyn Ruck (click on photograph to bring up bigger/better version).
On private land above Pantlludw on the North bank of the Dyfi is this enchanting little lake, Llyn Ruck, surrounded by rhododendrons, that was built by members of the Ruck family back in the 18th Century for fishing and family picnics.
From nearby the lake there are marvellous views of the Dyfi estuary and the hills on the other side of the valley.
Although it was a hazy early evening, you can make out the river at Derwenlas in the left hand picture, and the big bend in the Dyfi at Glandyfi in the right hand one.
